DESCRIPTION OF THE SITE

Division of Bulacan
FELIZARDO C. LIPANA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Juanita C. Santos St., Sta. Rita, Guiguinto, Bulacan

FELIZARDO C. LIPANA MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL
Then and Now

In 1970, Don Felizardo C. Lipana and Kapitandel Bario Meiquiades B. Juan thought of a secondary school that would cater to the students of Sta. Rita. Their noble objective gained support from then Guiguinto. Mayor Domingo Gonzales and Cong. Teodulo Natividad, and thus the birth of Sta. Rita Barangay High School. It started with only a handful of students and one full-time teacher. The school was managed by the elementary school principal who acted as asst. principal for high school. In no time, the student population multiplied and so was the number of the teachers and classrooms. Juanita C. Santos and Numerenciana P. Martin sought the help of the PTA President, Dionisio Jose and Melquiades Juan to have a school site for the high school. In 1992, Atty. Andres G. Lipana and Dr. Muguela Lipana Del- Bario, heirs of Don Felizardo C. Lipana donated a 10,000 sq.m. (1 hectare) lot to the school. The high school developed through the concerned efforts of Cong. Pedro Pancho and other politicians. Furthermore, in 1993 the Japanes government granted a JICA building, a manifesto of their socio-civic program in the Philippines. Through House Bill No. 7536 authored by Cong. Pancho, the Sta. Rita High School was changed to Felizardo C. Lipana Memorial High School in memory of the Lipana patriarch. The evolution of the school boomed when its students population increased year after a year. Academic classrooms were erected and established in its due time that required the school to promote its functional social accountancy for the public learners within the immediate necessity of the community. In 1994, there were generous benefactors who contributed unstinted support for the school. The likes of the Hon. Cong. Pedro M. Pancho and the good Provincial Governor  Josefina M. Dela Cruz expressed their civic commitment and socio-economic concerns to education by giving out academic school buildings named after the donees and sponsors done and constructed from the year started herein up 2002. These were all materialized as the needs arose. Year 2003 up to 2005 JICA Building (Japan International Cooperating Agency), Villarama building and Governor Josie M. Dela Cruz building were instituted and built through the well –managed supervision of the principal Mr. Rodrigo D. Jimenez, now ES-I Values Education/ Guidance and the PTCA President during the curriculum year 2003-2005 Mr. Conrado F. Baliton. At present the school is under the supervision of its principal Edgrado J. Mendoza  whose concerns are mainly the thrusts of the Department of Education. His two year stint has already yielded a significant milestone both in academic and non-academic parlance. Seminars and trainings are highly prioritized to meet the demands of the incessantly growing trends besetting the entire agency. This consistent fact rallies behind the battle cry of its pioneer Juanita C. Santos who dreamt of building an edifice marked by excellence. In retrospection, a challenge to be desirous to the call remains in preserving the memento. Miss Aquilina R. Monte From Tabang Guiguinto started May 2014 retired on October 2016 and now Jesie L. Borja, Ph.D. from Sta. Maria High School from October 2016 up to present.
